How can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made by phone or online. A deposit of 50% is required within 10 days of reserving to hold your reservation. You can make a deposit by either sending a check or money order or with a credit card number. We also offer online payment options.
Are Golf Carts Permitted?
Sorry, personal golf carts are not permitted unless they are registered for the road as a low speed vehicle. Unfortunately we do not have cart parking available at any of our amenities. Road legal golf carts (legally registered to operate on Maine roads) are permitted and may only be parked at your site when not in use.
Do you accept checks at check-in?
Sorry, personal checks are not accepted at check-in unless your stay in 7 days or more. Otherwise we accept Cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Travelers Checks and Money Orders.
What are the Check-In and Check-Out times?
Check-out time is 11am . Check-in on sites is any time after 12pm .
Please arrive after 12pm on the day of check in. Our departing guests need time to depart the site. If your site is unavailable and you are prior to 12pm you may be asked to return when it becomes available as additional parking is not available.
What if I need to cancel?
Cabin and Park Home Rentals are NON-Refundable. All campsite reservations require a 10 day notice to cancel. Any cancellations received 10 days or more from your arrival day will receive a deposit refund minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. Any cancellations received 9 days or less from arrival day will forfeit their deposit.
For reservation made one year in advance the deposit amount is $200. Any cancellations will incur a fee equivalent to a one night stay. Cancellations must be received no less than 30 days prior to arrival to receive a refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival will forfeit their $200 deposit.
How far are you from the beach?
Paradise Park is the closest campground to Main St. with it’s pier, shopping, amusements and 7 miles of golden sand beach. We are less than ½ mile from the waters edge with an approximate walking time of 10 minutes. Bring a wagon or luggage dolly to tote your belongings.
We also offer complimentary shuttle service from 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 6pm daily during the summer season. The shuttle runs continuously during operating hours. Please note the shuttle does not operate in the value season.
What is your bike policy?
Bikes and scooters are a wonderful part of the camping experience. We do ask that children use caution when riding their bikes as there are a great deal of pedestrians in the park as well. Maine State Law requires children under the age of 16 to wear bike helmets. We also require that bikes be put away at dusk for all the guests safety.
Do you allow electric scooters and bikes?
Electric Bikes and scooters are only permitted for persons over the age of 16 with a valid drivers license. No Children UNDER the age of 16 are permitted to use Electric Scooters.
Do you allow motorcycles?
We do, but we ask that you walk them in between the quiet hours of 11pm-8am . Motorcycles with loud pipes WILL NOT be permitted.
Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed in RV’s only and must not be left unattended and picked up after at all times. Persistent barking will not be tolerated. Any owners not following the pet rules will be asked to remove their pets from the park. Sorry no tents and pop-ups may bring pets. Paradise Park will be happy to recommend kennels in the area if you wish.
Are pets allowed on the beach?
Pets are allowed on the public beach before 9AM and after 5PM ONLY from Memorial Weekend –Labor Day. No pets are allowed on the beach when lifeguards are on duty from 9AM-5PM . Please note that dogs may not permitted on Main St. during busy hours. Old Orchard Beach Police will make determinations based on crowd volume.
Can friends come to visit me?
We do allow visitors. Please advise your guests in advance that there is a visitors fee. If they stay for less than 1 hour there is no charge. If they stay longer there is a $7.00 per person fee. The visitors fee does include all of our amenities. All day visitors must leave by 10:00 PM. All visitor vehicles must be parked on your site or in an assigned overflow parking spot. Overflow parking is limited and if there is no room to park guests may have to utilize a parking area in town and use our shuttle to access the campground.
Are your pools heated and do you have lifeguards?
Our pools are heated to 82’F and are Saltwater pools. Our Adult hot tub is kept at 104’F while our childrens hot tubs are kept at 100’F for health reasons. There are no lifeguards at any time so please ensure that your children are always supervised and that everyone obeys the pool rules posted at the entrance.
Can we put two tents or pop-ups on the same site?
You are welcome do put two tents on the same site. Since our sites are based on a vehicle and sleeping unit there is no cost advantage to doing so. If there are two cars and two tents you will be charged two site fees. For a better camping experience with more space we always encourage two families to get two sites. This prevents overcrowding and ensures a more enjoyable experience for all of our guests.
Can we set up a tent for our children?
Sure, you are welcome to set up an additional tent for children 18 and under who are still living at home and are dependent. Additional tents for storage are also permitted at no additional charge.
Do you accept singles?
We are a family camping resort and we cater to couples and families. Sorry, no groups of singles are accepted in order to provide our customers with a quiet and peaceful vacation.
Are we allowed to have a campfire?
Absolutely!! Every site as a campfire pit. We offer fire wood at the camp store or you can bring your own. Please note OUT OF STATE FIREWOOD is prohibited by Maine law. This law is to prevent invasive bugs from being introduced in Maine forests. Please remember that whatever in state wood you bring in you must take with you when you check out. In observation of quiet hours we ask that no wood be put on the fire after 11pm . Please note that fires are permitted only if conditions are not too dry.
Can we swim in the pond?
Unfortunately due to insurance reasons we do not allow swimming in the pond. You can enjoy fishing, rent a paddleboat or bring your own kayak, canoe or skiff (please no gas powered engines).
Do you offer internet connection?
Paradise Park offers free wi-fi throughout the park. Though our system is state of the art there are limitations in an outdoor environment which are not factors in your own home. Trees, RV’s and land contours can affect speeds and connectivity.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WIFI SYSTEM WILL NOT DELIVER SPEEDS YOU WOULD BE ACCUSTOMED TO AT YOUR OWN HOME DURING PEAK HOURS.
How are the mosquitos?
Like any place outdoor environment there are bound to be mosquitoes Here at Paradise Park we have taken steps to make sure mosquitos do not disturb your vacation. Over the past 10 years we have introduced thousands of Dragonfly’s in the park. Mosquitoes are the primary diet of dragonfly’s and they can eat 6 times their body weight in one day. We have also placed Mosquito Machines thoughout the park which attracted, trap and destroy the pests. Paradise Park does spray the permiter of the campground for mosquitoes and ticks during the spring season which is very effective in reducing the breeding population of mosquitoes.
Do you offer late check outs?
Unfortunately during the peak season it is very unlikely that we can offer a late checkout. Please check with the office the morning of your departure just in case.
How Late Can I Arrive?
Summer Season Checkin’s: Latest arrival time is 10pm daily.
Value Season Checkin’s: Monday thru Thursday no later than 7pm. Friday & Saturday no later than 9pm
To maintain quiet hours we do not permit check in’s after 11pm. Please plan to arrive prior to 11pm or schedule your reservation to arrive the following day.
